TreeUtah does community tree plantings, has songbird restoration site along the Jordan River, and the EcoGarden a permaculture display garden in Rose Park.

Our ecological restoration site along the Jordan river is attempting to bring back and maintain the riparian habitat which has been dissapperaing for decades. This habitat is essential for migratory songbirds, a major mating ground about 200 bird species.

Our statewide urban and community forestry does community tree plantings and education. These plantings take place along our city streets, in parks, and on school grounds. We plant a diversity of trees utilizing native trees where ever possible, choosing trees appropriate for the site by taking into consideration water and space requirements

Our permaculture garden is a food forest in the middle of the city. It is the only public garden demonstrating permaculture methods and principles. The EcoGarden has been designed to educate the community about sustainable living, encourage learning and designing based on the patterns of nature, and create wildlife habitat while simultaneously providing fresh, organic produce for the community

The dedicated staff of TreeUtah tirelessly plant trees to beautify and cool our local environment, and we need your help.
