Are you trying to get your students to connect to and be more aware of
their local environment? If so, join Andree' Walker, Project Learning
Tree (PLT) Coordinator in a workshop focusing on questioning and
analysis skills in developing environmental literacy. We will use PLT's
Places We Live Activity guide to investigate understanding our own
personal environment and the many things we can learn from it. This is a
key component to effective teaching and a wonderful awareness building
approach to education. Participants will walk away with new ideas and
resources as well as a free copy of the PLT Places We Live guide. RSVP
by Friday May 9th by emailing Nancy Carruthers at nancy@usee.org. Cost
is $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers. A light dinner will be provided.
