The first Farmers Market of the season is upon us. We are
happy to bring a large selection of produce from many of the hard
working growers in our community. The market will also feature creative
artisans who will have their products for sale. Knight Honey Farm will
be here as well as The Nutty Guys who sale dried fruit and nuts.
The Utah Botanical Center will be sponsoring a booth, which
will highlight a new plant each week. These are plants that are great
for our area and use very little water. The featured plant will be for
sale and growing information will be provided.
The Utah House will be sponsoring workshops which will be
twenty minutes long and repeated through out the evening, our first
workshop will give you great ideas on how to use your recycled products,
such as make a belt out of soda pop can tabs, crochet with plastic
grocery bags, or make children's crafts with products you might be
throwing away.
If you have young children you will not want to miss our
free children's activity booth which will provide the kids with a craft
they can complete while you are shopping, they may even learn something
in the process.
The Master Gardeners of Davis County will have a diagnostics
booth and each week they will tackle a new gardening problem. They will
also be ready to answer any of your gardening questions.
