Please find attached Newsletter No. 2 for the Bureau of Land Management
(BLM) and Forest Service (FS) Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement
(PEIS) for Geothermal Leasing in the Western US.



The Draft PEIS has been released for a review and comment period ending 90
days after the US Environmental Protection Agency publishes its Notice of
Availability for the Draft PEIS (this is expected to take place on Friday
June 20th). If you do not receive a copy of the PEIS by mail next week, it
is available for download on the project website. Details on requesting hard
copy or CD-ROMs of the PEIS are provided in the newsletter.



The BLM and FS will be hosting 13 public meetings in the 12 western states
covered by the PEIS.  Please see below, the attached newsletter, or the
project website for the meeting dates and locations. Please see the
newsletter for instructions on how to submit comments.
