The 2% Solution, presents a discussion of global warming solutions by Stanford University climate scientist, Stephen Schneider, sustainability expert Hunter Lovins, and green jobs pioneer Van Jones. We will follow this webcast video by a lively discussion with the student leadership of University of Utah’s S.E.E.D. [Sustainable Environments and Ecological Design] (http://www.sustainability.utah.edu/initiatives/SEEDgroup.htm). This event is co-sponsored by S.E.E.D., the University of Utah Office of Sustainability, Post Carbon Salt Lake, Environmental Ministry at First Unitarian Church, and Utah Interfaith Power and Light. NOTE: The 2% Solution webcast will also be streamed live at The University of Utah’s Olpin Union Theatre on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, 6:00 pm. The First Unitarian Church event will not be live but will have the advantage of being a smaller venue, with more opportunity for discussion of local solutions with our own University of Utah students and the community. First Unitarian Church is located at 569 S 1300 E in Salt Lake City.
