350: International Day of Action for Climate Justice

350.org, a coalition of climate justice activists, has called for a planetary day of action on October 24th. Visual artists, poets, dancers, and musicians will express the urgency about climate crisis & the need to reduce CO2 levels to 350 ppm, in a participatory event for all ages.  This is leading up to the world summit on climate in Copenhagen this December, to send a clear message to our leaders—they must enact meaningful legislation before it is too late.

350 - so what is this number, 350, all about?  350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it's the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change.

Be part of this worldwide action call for Climate Justice as our leaders head to Copenhagen.
